I'm Elsie, hello!

I'm a UK-accredited therapist, a recovering people-pleaser and I'm here to guide you through this process slowly and gently.

I'll share a mix of what I've learned about why we find it so hard to prioritise ourselves, my personal experience and everything I've picked up from working with lots of people-pleasers in 1:1 therapy, and through previous course cohorts. 

This is the fifth time I’ve run this course, but the first time under it's new name. 'Prioritise You' is an updated and improved version of my existing group programme, 'The Boundaries Course'. The essence and purpose are the same, the teachings and format have been updated for increased impact and an overall better experience. I can't wait to begin!

How the course works

Prioritise You is a 4-week group course that combines self-paced learning and group support. There are 4 components: 

Teachings 

1 pre-recorded audio teaching to listen to in your own time every week.

Exercises

Self-reflection exercises to deepen your learning from the teachings.

Zoom Calls

We'll meet as a group on Zoom in Weeks 1 & Week 4. Both calls will be recorded.

Facebook Community

A safe and comfortable space to share, ask questions & connect with the group

Everything is hosted in the members area of my website. Teachings, exercises, Zoom details & the Facebook group will all be accessible in one place.

Course teaching topics:

Week 1: You & Your Needs. You’ll begin to reflect on how you currently relate to your needs & begin to explore your relationship with yourself. 

Week 2: Your Inner Voice. You'll learn how to notice the part of you that knows what you want & practise paying more attention.

Week 3: Your Why. You'll explore your reasons for wanting and needing to start prioritise yourself, so you have clarity and confidence moving forward.

Week 4: Focussing on You. We'll explore how to start separating yourself from other people & how to manage feeling guilty when you do.

Zoom call dates:

Week 1 Welcome Call: Monday 25th April @ 19:00 - 20:30 UK time 

Week 4 Closing Call: Wednesday 18th May @ 19:00 - 20:30 UK time

Both calls will be recorded.

This course cannot:

  • Provide an alternative or substitute to working with a therapist.

  • Support you with creating more complex changes - like within significant relationships.

  • Offer you a 'one size fits all' or fast-track solution to 'solve' the people-pleasing pattern. 

This course can:

  • Help you to understand why you struggle to prioritise yourself.

  • Guide you to identify where you'd like to make some changes.

  • ​Support you to step into your power & begin to create meaningful changes for yourself.

COmmon Questions

​How much time will I need?
You'll have one teaching and 2-3 exercises to do each week. The idea is for this work to take place alongside your daily life. The teachings are no longer than 20mins each and the exercises will take a minimum of around 30mins each. It's important that you start each week with the teaching, and do the exercises afterwards. 


Can I go at my own pace?
You can go slower, not quicker. The 4 week timeframe is purely my suggestion, it's up to you how long you take to listen to the trainings and to do the exercises. But you can't do the course in less than 4 weeks, this needs to be gradual - plenty of time for reflection and processing is really important. 

Do I need a course log in?
I'll send you access details for the members area of my website when you sign up. We'll talk through how to log in on the welcome call. I will email you each Monday, letting you know that course content has been made available. 

 
How long will I have access?
You'll have lifetime access to all the trainings and exercises. I want this to be something you can revisit as many times as you need. For example, you could go back to certain parts every time you want to set a new boundary, if that felt helpful. 

Will the group group calls be recorded?
Yes, you'll get a link to watch the call recordings. Access to the recordings will expire when the course finishes. ​

Is the course taught live?
The trainings are all pre-recorded, the group calls at the start and end are run live by me and all support within the Facebook group will be in real time. 

Do I have to be in the UK to join? 
You can join from anywhere in the world - the Zoom sessions are on Monday 25th April at 19:00 - 20:30 GMT and Wednesday 18th May at 19:00 - 20:30 GMT. If these times don't work in your timezone, you can catch the recordings of the sessions instead. 

Can I pay in another currency to GBP? 
Yes - when you make payment, my payment processor will convert the amount into your currency, in line with exchange rates at the time of your purchase. Drop me an email below if you have any issues with this!
