What's included:

If you're ready to experiment with being a little more truthful in some areas of your life, you may find yourself tripping up when it comes to knowing what to actually say.

As people-pleasers, we often mistake honesty for rudeness and it's common to get stuck trying to balance being congruent, with our desire not to upset people.

This booklet of templates is here to give you the language to finally start speaking up, in a reasonable and respectful way.

You'll get a downloadable PDF of scripts that you can treat as templates to base your responses on. So you feel more confident about saying what you want, and a little less worried about the impact that might have!

How they work:

The scenarios included are based on what my clients and Instagram community ask about most. Things like: how to respond to uncomfortable questions from family; what to say when you want to cancel a plan with kindness; how to say 'no' to work you're unable to do.

You'll be able to save the download, search through the index for your situation and write a reply that reflects your truth and still considers the other person's feelings.

You can copy and paste word-for-word and edit or mix and match different examples, so your responses still sound like you, but more clear, more boundaried and less rude or selfish than you might fear.

Common questions:

What scenarios are included?

The booklet is split into 3 sections: Within the 'relationships' section, there are scripts for when you need to say no, cancel plans and state your preferences. The 'work' section is split into scripts specific to being in employment and to working for yourself. The 'other' section covers scenarios like dealing with restaurants or your hairdresser, that kind of thing.

Are there scripts for more complex situations?

The scripts are focussed around every day scenarios. It doesn't feel appropriate to offer input on more complicated family or relational dynamics via a digital download, where 1-1 support isn't feasible.

Will the scripts make me sound rude?

The tone of the scripts overall is firm and fair, clear and compassionate. Keep in mind that setting boundaries can feel much more unkind than it actually is, especially if you've been people-pleasing most of your life! The booklet is here to show you how to do what's right for you AND consider the other person - you'll see various examples of this throughout.

Will my purchase include any 1-1 support from you?

If you choose to buy the booklet, you'll be purchasing a digital product only which doesn't include any personal input from me. This being said, I welcome your experiences of using the scripts, so please do reach out if you'd like to share!

Do you offer refunds?

Payments are non-refundable, so please purchase mindfully.

How will I access the scripts

As soon as you've made payment, you'll receive an email with a link to download your copy of the booklet PDF.

How long will I have access?

Once you purchase your copy, it's yours to keep for as long as you wish. I plan to update the scripts at least a couple of times per year and you'll be first to receive new versions for free. Just keep an eye out for emails from me!
